The Stingray That Got Away… + Helping Neal Catch His First!

The heat has arrived and when conditions are like this there’s only one target in mind… STINGRAY! This week we head down to Thorness Bay hoping to put Neal onto his first ever stingray. Fishing the sandy channels between the rocky ledges and huge kelp beds, everything looked perfect. The session had some useful stingray fishing tips, stunning drone footage showing the ground we’re fishing… and one moment that turned into the one that got away. A massive take, all the excitement… then heartbreak as the hook failed to find its hold.
