NS 12R departing Columbia with NS 4003 leading

Last night I got a heads up from a railfan NPH prod on Facebook that NS 192 was in Augusta with NS 4003 trailing second and I knew that it was going to lead NS 12R on Saturday . While I have already gotten the unit however I was wanting to film it leading since it has a great sounding horn so I went to andrews yard at 6:00 pm where it was working the yard and after it finished working it pulled to the west side of the yard but had to wait for CSX E319-16 which had CSX SD70MAC 4574 leading with CSX 3334 second elephant style up front with CSX 3107 as mid dpu to cross the diamond since it got permission from NS dispatch to cross the diamond since it already got a track authority to leave Columbia and that was a train that I caught yesterday afternoon . After CSX E319-16 cleared the diamond NS 12R was cleared to head to wheat street where they stopped at the crossing to wait for the rail express van which was carrying the actual crew to arrive and swap with the yard crew . After swapping crews NS 12R blew its horn two times and slowly proceeded to depart Columbia so I decided to go to a spot off college street near MR Friendly’s to catch him where I was able to get set up since I was ahead of him and it didn’t take long for 12R to get there as the Greene street crossing activated and I could hear the rumbling of NS 4003 along with its great sounding horn as it was heading towards Enola PA. After catching NS 12R I called it a day and headed home . Enjoy the video and subscribe
