Our last full day in Winnipeg, Manitoba hit us harder than we expected. We visited the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, one of the most moving and architecturally stunning museums in all of Canada, stopped at the most European-looking café we've found in Canada, and ended the day at The Forks Market with honey dill poutine (spoiler: Matt got cured of hating poutine 😂). But the moment neither of us saw coming was when Matt opened up about his own experience with racial profiling, something he hasn't shared with many people. The museum has a way of drawing that out of you.
