🇵🇬 Goroka Farmer Gets Major Boost Through PNG Agriculture Project | Inspiring Success Story

From a humble backyard poultry project in Goroka to a fast-growing agribusiness, Erickson Suguya is proving that determination, hard work and agriculture can transform lives in Papua New Guinea. What began as a small dream has grown into Feneso Integrated Organic Produce — a poultry and stockfeed enterprise focused on creating jobs, supporting farmers and helping lower the cost of chicken production. With K287,000 support through the PNG Agriculture Commercialisation and Diversification Project (PACD), Erickson is expanding his operations with a feed processing facility, storage space, equipment and plans for large-scale poultry production. The PACD Project is funded by the PNG Government with World Bank support. A key part of his success is using locally available ingredients such as cassava, bananas, peanuts, coconut, vegetables and spices to make poultry feed. This helps reduce reliance on expensive imported feed and creates new markets for local farmers. His long-term vision is to expand layer hen production, increase egg supply, employ more Papua New Guineans and inspire young people to see farming as a business opportunity.
