They became arrogant, disobedient, and worshipped idols instead of Allah. Hud called them to worship only Allah and abandon false gods, warning them of the punishment that awaited those who refused to obey. Their rejection led to the destruction of Aad by a furious wind that raged for seven nights and eight days without pause. Prophet Saleh (peace be upon him) was sent to the people of Thamud, who excelled in carving magnificent homes in mountains but were proud and rebellious. Allah sent them a miraculous she camel as a clear sign, instructing them not to harm her. They defied this command and killed the camel. Saleh warned them of Allah’s punishment, and a mighty earthquake followed by a loud blast destroyed them completely.
