#ishaquequreshi Prophet Dawood (David, peace be upon him) was one of the great Messengers of Allah, mentioned in the Qur’an as a Khalifah (vicegerent) and a servant blessed with wisdom, justice, and strength. Allah granted him the Zabur (Psalms), a powerful kingdom, and a beautiful voice that even mountains and birds would join in his praise of Allah. His life is a shining example of worship, justice, and gratitude to Allah. Qur’an References: Revelation of Zabur: “And to Dawood We gave the Zabur.” (Surah An-Nisa, 4:163) Wisdom and Justice: “And remember Dawood and Sulaiman, when they gave judgment concerning the field…” (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:78-79) Praise with Creation: “Indeed, We subjected the mountains to join him in glorification, in the evening and after sunrise. And the birds assembled, all obedient to him.” (Surah Sad, 38:18-19) Strength and Authority: “And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and decisive speech.” (Surah Sad, 38:20) Hadith References: The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved fasting to Allah is the fasting of Dawood. He used to fast one day and break it the next.
