Techmarine IMPALES Tyranids With BUFFED Heroic Omnissian Axe - True Solo Absolute | Space Marine 2
In this run we test the buffed Heroic Omnissian Axe(Ultima Ratio) on Techmarine In 14.0 PTS. Techmarine buffs in PTS 14.0: “Explosive Strike” perk of Omnissian Axe now causes shock zone explosion at the point of impact on the enemy. Heroic Omnissian Axe's time to reach maximum additional damage was reduced by 35% Class Perk "Methodical Destruction" now works with Promethium Canister. The first buff is great quality of life buff for the Explosive Strike perk that I've been asking for since the 12.0 PTS feedback. Previously the shock zone would be created under the techmarine when you land the Omnissian Strike, but now will be created under the enemy hit. This will increase the amount of value you get out of the shock zone since usually the enemies aren't standing directly on top of you. The shock zone will get more ticks of damage in, especially if you hit with the tip of the hitbox. I recently learned that the shock zone from explosive strike triggers Methodical Destruction. This gives the buff to it even more value. Methodical Destruction now works with Pyreblaster Canister, which is one of techmarine's best grenades due to how it synergizes with his gunstrikes and gunstrike perks. It was a competition between it and frag grenades. Now you get to use them in combination with this perk with no drawback. The Heroic Omnissian Axe perk "Word Of the Omnissiah" is now able to reach max damage 35% faster according to the patch notes. Previously it would increase damage by 5% every 0.25s, but now it will increases 5% damage every 0.15s. Max damage bonus is 100% multiplicative. So 100% ÷ (5%/0.15s) = 3s. It takes 3s to reach max damage now, while it took 5s previously. Which means this is a 40% speed increase not 35%. This perks affects Omnissian Strike and Impaling Strike, which are used frequently in this run. You can spam Impaling Strike Lvl 0 by canceling the long recovery animation with parry and you can cancel the parry recovery animation by holding melee, creating a loop. We build the Heroic Omnissian axe by taking most of the top perks to buff impaling strike and omnissian strike. But we start off on the bottom row to take Cleaving Strike. This perk gives your light attacks 10 damage in small radius for each enemy hit. It will also heal a contested hp and has the ability to overheal. If you have no armor and have chp, landing a light in a group of enemies will overheal you. This perk is too good to not take even though we are going with a Poke Build. Best top row perks (Static Charge, Iron Rush, and Explosive Strike, Expose): Static Charge - underrated because most people don't know how it works. Gives 10% additive melee damage for 4s everytime you hit an enemy with Omni Rush or Impaling Strike. It stacks up to 10x for a 100% bonus. It refreshes those 4s everytime you land one of the triggering attacks. You can easily reach 100% bonus by doing the Impaling Strike lvl 0 spam trick to majoris and above. Large groups of minoris also makes it easy to get to 100% by just Omni Rushing through them. Iron Rush - gives 50% range damage reduction while using Omni Rush. Use it to move from enemy to enemy setting up impaling strike kills while taking little range damage. Explosive Strike - was buffed and is great for crowd control with the shock zone, and also debuffs enemies in combination with Methodical Destruction. Also passively increases Omni Strike damage by 40% additive. Expose - debuffs enemies hit by Omnissian/Impaling Striketo take 15% more damage, but we can't take it because we want both Cleaving Strike and Explosive Strike. Bad perks: Armour Siphon - too long of cooldown for just 1 armor, halve it to make usable. Restorative takedown - Jump through a bunch of hoops for 1 armor, too restrictive. For class perks we go with Bolter Servo gun and Omnissiah's Fury which I think is the best servo gun combo. We take Methodical Destruction test the buff, but also to take advantage of Explosive Strike triggering it. We don't lose much from not taking "Arc Cleave" since we rarely use power discharge in this build, instead we use impaling strike more. Impaling Strike doesn't count as a charged attack so it doesn't get buffed by Arc Cleave. We take more melee damage perks like Push the Advantage and Counteroffensive Protocols to up impale damage. Inexorable salvo for knockback protection and Replenishing salvo for unlimited pyre canisters. We take Techmarine's best primary Heroic Heavy Bolt Rifle and we take Heroic Plasma pistol for the secondary. After firing a charged shot from heroic plasma pistol, we can swap to HBR to buff the plasma damage with the "Remote Threat" perk.
