This tutorial takes a close look at the many features of the VORSON SL220 6 string electric lap steel guitar. Pickups, volume and tone control, bridge, nut, string paths, fingerboard, tuning gears and active electronics are all discussed. The D minor open tuning is demonstrated via an original composition titled "Minor Slide" being a tribute to the late, great Jerry Byrd, an all-time recognized master of the lap steel guitar. This tune requires right hand harmonics, left hand bar slants, long slides, single, double string and chord grip playing which are show cased via a close up camera angle.
