Suchtverlagerung nach Magenbypass OP

Today's topic doesn't affect everyone who has had bariatric surgery, but it's something that can occur in about a third of those affected. Today I'm talking about addiction transfer after bariatric surgery. Obesity is essentially a food addiction that, after surgery, can (initially) no longer be actively acted upon, since it's no longer possible to consume large and unhealthy quantities. Then it can happen that the psyche seeks something new, and a new addiction may develop. This is called addiction transfer. In some cases, the original food addiction can even creep back in quietly. Some affected individuals aren't even aware of this addiction transfer and think that something is wrong with them, thus condemning themselves. I want to raise awareness of this issue so that all those affected are sensitized to it and can quickly recognize suspicious behavior and take action if necessary. I'll illustrate this with my own behavior...
