Seongju Methodist Church Early Morning Sermon Ezekiel 27:26~36 26. Your sailors led you to the great waters, and the east wind defeated you in the midst of the sea. 27. Your wealth, your goods, your exchanged goods, your sailors, your captains, those who shut the gaps in your ships, your merchants, all the mighty warriors among you, and all the multitudes among you—all will be drowned in the midst of the sea on the day of your destruction. 28. The waves will be shaken at the cry of your captain. 29. All those who hold the oars, the sailors, and the captains of the sea will disembark from their ships and stand on the shore. 30. They will cry out loudly for you and wail; they will cover their heads with dust and wallow in the ashes. 31. They will all shave their heads and sackcloth and mourn bitterly for you. 32. When they wail, they will sing a mournful song for you, saying, "Like Tyre in the midst of the sea..." Who is this desolate one? 33. When you carried your goods out to sea, you enriched many peoples; because your wealth and trade goods were great, you enriched the kings of the earth. 34. When you were shipwrecked in the depths of the sea, your trade goods and your passengers all perished. 35. The inhabitants of the islands are astonished because of you, and kings are greatly afraid, their faces filled with sorrow. 36. Merchants of many nations all mock you; you have become an object of terror, and you shall not exist again forever.
