Pink Floyd - Live in Zürich (December 9th, 1972)

Date: December 9th, 1972 (The 9th is the real date, sorry for the mistake in the video!) Venue: Hallenstadion Location: Zürich, Switzerland Photograph: Roland Stucky Tapers: Unknown (Matrix of Recorders 1 & 2 by JFE) This is the second to last performance of the 1972 Dark Side of The Moon tour, and it is considered one of their best shows of their original live run. Featuring the post-Brighton 1972 break version of the album, you get more refined The Travel Sequence and Great Gig without the vocals (both being my preferred versions). Set 2 is also amazing, with the very awesome and rare "Several Species" rant during Careful With That Axe, Eugene. Set 2 also features Childhood's End, a song from Obscured by Clouds that was very rarely played. This is the last performance of it during the 1972 leg, after being played for a few dates throughout December. The next time this song would be recorded would be on March 6th 1973, being played from March 4th until the 10th that year, before being dropped permanently after the 10th. This show has one of the most famous performances of the song, due to it being in amazing quality and being a great version.
