Ysaÿe: Violin sonata in A minor op. 27 no. 2 - I. I. Obsession (Prelude) Abstract: For the beginning of the Sonata, Professor Turban proposes to play faster and piano, as if he were dreaming about Bach. Then, Ingolf Turban gives some advice to the student about double stops. He also makes corrections and comments on bow distribution and about the movement of the right arm to be more stable, comfortable and relaxed. He recommends practicing it slowly to improve this coordination with the bow and use less effort: for Professor, good practice involves training to "do less."
