The walk takes the shape of two loops joined in the middle by St Nectan's Glen, which is entered from the west side of Halgabron. The enchanting St Nectan's Glen and waterfall are renowned for their spiritual properties. Climbing out of the glen, the rugged north Cornish coast comes into view, and provides a spectacular backdrop to the walk to the tiny hamlet of Trethevy. From Trethevy, return to St Nectan's Glen, cross the river, and head out the east side of Halgabron. Continuing north, after crossing the B3263, one enters Rocky Valley (14:07). This is a steep-sided, boulder-strewn valley through which flows the stream from St Nectan's. The stream eventually ends in a waterfall at the coast (17:52). The coastal cliff tops are a blaze of yellow with the gorse in full flower, and are buzzing with bird and insect life. As expected at this time of year, the walk turned out to be a wildlife treat! All background and natural sounds were recorded at the time of filming. Due to its cinematic nature, this video is best watched on a large 4K screen, such as a TV, to fully appreciate the visual detail and immersive aural experience I try to convey.
