El Paraíso de la Manzana en Oaxaca

Santa Martha Latuvi is a beautiful town in Oaxaca nestled in the forests of the Sierra Norte mountains. Its natural landscapes are breathtaking, filled with pine and oak trees, rivers, waterfalls, and lush vegetation that you can enjoy on guided hikes led by local residents. We visited the "El Molcajete" waterfall on the Cara de León River, which flows through the town of Latuvi. We walked for 20 minutes through the forest, appreciating the natural beauty of its mixed woodlands. This town is considered a paradise for apples, pears, and peaches, which ripen between May and September. The locals make artisanal jams, taking advantage of the variety of their fruits. The town offers lodging in comfortable cabins with mountain views. The cuisine is delicious, and you can enjoy trout and Oaxacan dishes in its communal dining areas. Santa Martha Latuvi offers hiking, horseback riding, gastronomy, and lodging for tourists. The residents are very kind and friendly to visitors. It was an incredible experience visiting this beautiful town in the northern mountains of Oaxaca.
