We Bought 50 Acres… This Is Home Now
Welcome to Hidden Well Farm. This is our first video — an introduction to our new home and the journey we’re beginning on 50 acres of mixed farmland and bush here in rural Victoria, Australia. After years living and working in busy places, we made the decision to slow things down and build something of our own. When we arrived, the property was far from perfect — dry paddocks, neglected infrastructure, overgrown areas that quickly showed us how much work lay ahead. In this video, we walk through the land as it is right now: The paddocks and why they haven’t been managed in years The ongoing drought and the reality of water on the property Our dams, creeks, and its history What we’ve inherited — both the good and the challenging Our vision for slowly restoring the land and farmhouse This channel will document real farm and homestead life — the work, the mistakes, the learning, and the small wins — as we gradually turn this place into a productive, sustainable home. If you enjoy honest rural living, land restoration, homesteading projects, and life outside the city, we’d love to have you along for the journey. Thanks for watching.
