Hi, this is Scott with etrailer and today we're taking a look at and installing our Curt Class I hitch for our 2025 Mazda CX-30. So our hitch is gonna be an inch and a quarter option for this one. If you have a lot of accessories that are already the inch and a quarter style, this is the way to go for you. Also, keep in mind we also offer a two inch style receiver for these as well. So if you're just getting new into it and you want to get all new stuff, the two inch receivers are pretty much what everything's going to, so give them a look as well. Other than that, our hitch is gonna have a gloss black coating and most of it's going to be hidden underneath the car, so you're not gonna see a whole lot of it sticking out. So it's a partially hidden cross tube design. All you're gonna see is this portion sticking out of the back of your vehicle. Another nice thing is, is when you're walking past the back of your vehicle, this is gonna be tucked in just behind your bumper so it's not gonna be intrusive and stick it out. And when you walk by or say you're getting stuff out of the back, you're not gonna be hitting your leg on your hitch all the time either. Your hitch is going to have a half inch pin hole opening and that's gonna hold any of your accessories that you have in place. Now keep in mind this hitch does not come with a pin, so you'll have to pick one up through here, etrailer, or if your accessory has one with it, which some of them do come with, you're set to go with that. Other than that, you do have your welded on chain loops here, so you can use your clevis style hooks or you can also use the standard S style hooks, whichever one are on your safety chain, you are good to go with that. As far as measurements go, from the top of our receiver tube to the ground, we're looking at right at 13 inches and that's gonna be the number you wanna look at to see how much clearance you'll need. Maybe you'll need any of your accessories to have a little bit of a bend in the shank so it gives you a little more clearance in the back. Other than that, we have a pin hole to outer bumper measurement of just about three and a half inches. And with that measurement, you'll be able to figure out if any of our accessories that do stow up will make any contact with the back of your vehicle when you fold them up. As far as weights for this hitch, we are looking at a 200 pound tongue weight limit and that is the weight pushing down on this portion of our hitch. Now that includes your bike racks or any of your bikes that you have on the back of it. Now say you have a cargo carrier and you have it loaded down, that will be the total weight of all that together. Now for our trailer weight rating, we're looking at 2,000 pounds with this one. So this one is going to be able to pull maybe a smaller trailer, stuff like that, and that is your gross trailer weight rating. But you also want to check in your manual and make sure your vehicle is capable of pulling that amount of weight. So when you do look at that, make sure you stay at the lowest number between your vehicle's rating and your hitch so you don't go over and cause any damage to your vehicle. As far as installation goes for this hitch, it's pretty straightforward. You will have to enlarge a hole just so you can get your spacer blocks in, but other than that, it's not really too bad. If it's something you don't have time to do yourself, you can always take a look at our dealer locator and have something set up where you can get it done locally for you. Or if you feel like doing it yourself, stick around and watch our video and we'll help you get it installed. To start our installation, we're gonna need to lower our exhaust down. So what I'm gonna do is take some soapy water and I'm gonna spray right back here where my isolators are on both sides. On all of my isolators, there's gonna be four of 'em we need to pop off, so we'll get them sprayed down real quick. Okay, and after we spray them down, just wanna wiggle our exhaust around. That's gonna work in that soapy water. Now we'll let that sit a second and we'll move on. We need to take our cam buckle strap and find a good location to strap it up to something good and solid and we're gonna run it to both sides, we need to support our exhaust right here. Pull that tight, that's gonna hel
