Somatik Yoga Hareketleri

Somatic Yoga Poses refer to specific yoga poses, often performed in a seated or supine position, that aim to re-establish the mind-body connection. They were specifically formulated based on the fact that the part of the brain that controls voluntary muscle movement sometimes experiences temporary memory loss (more on this later). Through careful practice of these asanas, a person can treat chronic pain and postural problems. Somatic Yoga Poses are very simple to perform and can be practiced by anyone, including the elderly, beginners, and even advanced practitioners. Because these poses are performed on the floor and involve deep stretching and twisting of the body, it is recommended to provide additional support, such as using a blanket, while supine. Furthermore, while practicing this pose, the focus is not on flexibility, alignment, or strength, although these are byproducts of Somatic Yoga. However, the primary goal is to teach students to practice the pose with utmost care. These poses also involve many repetitions of the same movement. They are performed to rewire the neurological pathways of the nerves of the somatic nervous system. Now, let's experience our somatic yoga poses together.
