This is the provincial highway S101 starting from Urumqi, Xinjiang, also known as the "Tianshan Mountain Geographical Scenic Corridor". It is also a national defense highway that was abandoned for more than half a century, a barely-known Tianshan scenic highway, a geographical corridor with amazing scenery, and a colorful photography road. It is 308 kilometers long and passes through Danxia, reservoirs, grasslands, canyons and other landforms and attractions along the way. The colorful Danxia here is comparable to Zhangye, Gansu.
