Welcome onboard the outbound leg of my day’s trip to Hiroshima onboard All Nippon Airways B 777-281 JA714A. Thank you for visiting my channel. History of Boeing 777-281 JA714A Serial number 28276 / Line Number 523 was manufactured 2005, performed her first flight on June 20, the same year and was delivered on June 29, 2005 to All Nippon Airways. Alongside with sister ship JA713A, JA714A has never been modified to the ER-version and is operating on the domestic network of All Nippon Airways with the old interior from the 1990s in a seating layout of C21Y384. Equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW 4090, the entire fleet of ANA’s Boeing 777-200 series and the domestic fleet of the remaining five Boeing 777-300 was grounded, following a United Airlines incident in February, 2021 that saw engine parts falling over Denver. In consequence and in consequence of a sharply dropping Pandemic related demand, JA714A was stored at Tokyo-Haneda from January, 2021 until September, 2022, featuring the special titles “Tokyo 2020”. After the Corona Pandemic the demand for domestic air travel picked up sharply in 2022. ANA reinstalled Boeing 777 operations on domestic trunk and regional routes with high passenger demand. JA714A resumed flight operations on October 25, 2022. Awaiting the delivery of the Boeing 777-900 and the Boeing 787-1000, the Boeing 777-200 is used on the domestic route network of All Nippon Airways for the time being and is still going strong.
