The Bread of Life
This weeks Photographer's Journal is titled 'The Bread of Life.' Ladies from the Sacred Heart Society of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Auburn perform the time-honored tradition of baking Paska bread in celebration of the Easter season. The Ukrainians call it the bread of life. Many of the elder church members, who continue this annual ritual, are worried that their generation might be the last to carry on the tradition due to the lack of young people participating in the church.
