In this video, Daniël from Eccellente.com shows you how to install the Eccellente Grey+ water filter in a Jura D4 coffee machine. This filter reduces limescale, removes unwanted substances, and ensures better aroma development in your coffee. The Eccellente Grey+ water filter is NOT automatically recognized by the Jura D4, so we switch the machine over and set the water hardness MANUALLY. Step 1 – SETTINGS UPON FIRST USE Adjusting water hardness: Make sure the machine is turned on. Press and hold the ‘2x’ button until the cleaning and descaling symbols light up red. You are now in the settings menu. - Press the large coffee cup button, select 1 bean (lowest setting), and confirm with the same button. Switching to descaling mode: Leave the machine on. Is the water filter symbol lit? Then remove the current Smart filter, switch the machine off, and then switch it back on. Your Jura D4 is now in descaling mode, ready for use with the Eccellente Grey+ filter. Step 2 – INSTALLING THE WATER FILTER Remove the Eccellente Grey+ water filter from the packaging and hold it upside down under running water for 10 seconds. Remove the water reservoir, empty it, and place the new filter firmly onto the connection. Fill the reservoir with clean water and place it back into the machine. Step 3 – RINSING Place a drip tray under the hot water spout and turn on the hot water knob. The D4 will now run through approximately half a liter of water and stop automatically. - Turn the knob back; the filter is now rinsed and ready for use. 💧 Advice: Replace the Eccellente Grey+ water filter every 2 months for maximum protection against limescale and optimal coffee flavor.
