Michael Ignatieff has lived a varied life as a writer, historian, politician and professor. My interview with Professor Igantieff covers various aspects of his life from his Russian ancestry and Canadian childhood, his academic studies at Harvard and Cambridge through his time as a journalist and biographer of Isaiah Berlin, his career as a leading politician in his native country followed by his Rectorship of the Central European University and, most recently, the publication of his latest book, 'On Consolation' (2021).
