NS Greenville District 3/2/14: SD40-2 Leading Hotshot 211

**Re-upload** This day's 211 made quite the late run (15 hours late, to be exact), and my friend Tim got the call to bring it south from Greenville. Two engines died en-route, so in Lynchburg, an SD40-2 was placed on the front of the train. Every engineer planned to bad order it, but when told how well it was performing, they continued to run it. This 34-year old beast held its own very well, keeping the intermodal at a solid 55-60 miles per hour with the help of two other units, at least from Alto to Lula and in Flowery Branch. Power for the whole train was NS SD40-2 3490, NS D8-40C 8760, NS SD60 6608, dead NS D8-40CW 8416, and dead NS SD70M 2623.
