Beef Production through Intensive Fattening Juan Gonzalo Angel - TvAgro @juangangel The highly positive results that Voisin Rational Grazing (VRG) has achieved in numerous projects being implemented and developed in various Brazilian states, covering temperate, tropical, and equatorial climates, have caught the attention of technicians, producers, and business owners and have encouraged them to manage their pastures in accordance with the universal laws of grazing, as enunciated by André Voisin. It is our strong interest that these initiatives be successful and that those responsible for them achieve positive financial results through adequate compensation. This requires a real implementation of VRG, which should not be confused with mere pasture division or indiscriminate pasture rotation. VRG, while not a miracle, offers a significant financial return, provided there is an appropriate project and financial and technical resources for its implementation and operation. Voisin drew on work and experiences conducted on all continents to develop his doctrine on pasture management. He began by analyzing the sigmoid curve, which graphically represents the growth and development of pastures. By observing and measuring pasture growth on his farm, "Le Talou," in Normandy, France, André Voisin obtained the data graphically represented in Fig. 1. From the analysis of Voisin's sigmoid curve, a rich body of knowledge can be extracted. Its application to pasture management results in highly significant returns, provided the universal laws of grazing are followed. The division of the area into pastures is an essential condition for the application of these laws.
