3-Day / 53km Solo Canoe Trip on the River Wye

Welcome back to another adventure! On my last trip, I had to cut my journey short due to the strong river current. But I couldn't let that stop me from completing my original distance. So, I headed to the River Wye for an epic 2-night, 3-day canoe and camping trip. Join me as I explore the serene and calming landscape of the River Wye, taking in the meditative and healing forces of the river. Over two full days and a minor paddle on day three, I covered a total distance of 53 kilometers, passing Hoarwithy, Ross-on-Wye, Symonds Yat, Monmouth, and finishing at Redbrook before the river becomes tidal. Along the way, I tried my luck at fishing and even hooked onto a large Brown Trout, although I lost it due to using barbless hooks to minimize harm to the fish. I also wild camped in two different spots on the riverbank, ensuring to leave no trace behind and even picking up litter to improve the condition of the river. As I paddled along, I couldn't help but reflect on the impact each of us can make if we just do a little bit to preserve our environment. Together, we can make a difference. So, hit that play button and join me on this inspiring journey down the River Wye, and let's make a difference together! Keep adventuring, Eze Wondering why comments are off?
