Day trip to Ronda, Spain✨ Breathtaking view of the Nuevo Bridge and bullring episode 🎥 Date of filming 2024.06.15 🚗 Two hours from Seville, arrived in Ronda! This time, I went on a trip to Ronda, a small gem-like city in southern Spain. This city, which takes about two hours from Seville, is also famous as a place that Hemingway loved. 📍 1. La Merced Church The first place I saw after leaving the terminal was La Merced Cathedral. It is said that many people visit this place because ‘Mother Teresa’s hands’ are preserved. I didn't go in, but the exterior alone was impressive enough. 📍 2. Alameda del Tajo – Ronda’s refreshing park This park feels like you have entered nature! 🏞️ Mary continued to be amazed as she walked along a path filled with flowers with the sound of birds chirping. Unlike the lively atmosphere typical of southern Spain, Ronda was a city full of calm and leisurely feelings. It was also interesting that Hemingway wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls here. 📍 3. Ronda Bullfighting Stadium – Plaza de Toros Plaza de Toros de Ronda, one of the oldest bullfighting arenas in Spain. The entrance fee is 9 euros, or 11 euros including the audio guide. I didn't go inside, but I took a quick look around the front. However, there was a cute episode where Mary imitated the bullfighting movements while herding Chris, and the grandmother next to her ran at her like a bull. 😂 📍 4. Ronda Lookout – a beautiful cliff city At the Ronda Observatory, souvenirs were sold and I also met a musician playing the violin. After leisurely enjoying the scenery, we moved toward Nuevo Puente. 📍 5. On the way to Pont Nuevo & lunch The window seats at the restaurant overlooking the Nuevo Bridge are already full... 😢 So I found another restaurant and ordered mixed tapas, ribs, and spaghetti and enjoyed it. Tip: When you arrive in Ronda, the first thing you should do is make a reservation at a restaurant with a view! After eating, the song Tears In Heaven played and I explained the meaning of the song to Chris. 📍 6. Failed to visit Nuevo Bridge & Observatory… ! The road to Pont Nuevo was quite steep. however… Chris was worried because Mary was wearing slippers. 😅 I eventually arrived at the first observatory, but I didn't know that it closed at 1:30 and reopened at 6, so I couldn't enter! And since you have to wear a hard hat on the way down to the bridge, I gave up… In the end, we moved to the next spot. 📍 7. Chris reached the end of the road alone! They say that if you go further down, an even more beautiful view unfolds... The road was very slippery. In the end, Chris decided to go alone. What was at the end of the road? • The imposing appearance of the majestic Pont Nuevo • Ronda’s endless gorges and cliffs • and… Chris exclaimed, “Mary, you should have seen this too!” 🎥 Ronda travel summary & tips 1️⃣ Let’s visit the observatory first before lunch! (No entry after 1:30 p.m.) 2️⃣ You can travel leisurely if you stay overnight in Ronda. 3️⃣ It is best to find a restaurant with a good view in advance. 4️⃣ If you plan to walk on a steep path, be sure to wear comfortable shoes! 📌 And… It was amazing that our connection with Morocco continues. The person who followed Mary's Instagram is Moroccan, and the beautiful woman I met at the Seville hotel is also from Morocco... Five days later, we finally moved to Morocco! 🇲🇦 I’m looking forward to seeing how our new relationship will continue!
