Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes 2 Tablespoons butter 3 pounds ground beef 1 large onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 1 yellow pepper, diced 3 teaspoons minced garlic 2 cups ketchup 1 cup water 2 Tablespoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 2 Tablespoons tomato paste 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper hamburger buns butter Add butter to a large skillet or Dutch Oven over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned, chopping up the beef as it cooks. Drain well.  Add onions, peppers, and garlic. Cook for a few minutes until vegetables begin to soften. Add next nine ingredients and stir. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.  Butter both sides of the insides of the buns. Brown on a griddle or under a broiler.
