Le Corbusier | Stefan Rudy | TEDxLaChauxdeFonds

Le Corbusier, one of the fathers of modern architecture, was born near La Chaux-de-Fonds. His education, critical thinking, and early experiences shaped his revolutionary approach to architecture. Committed to passing on the architectural works of his peers, Stefan Rudy, himself an architect, co-developed the Architecture and Urbanism Days in Neuchâtel (JAU-NE), which have featured no fewer than four Pritzker Prize laureates (the "Nobel Prize" of architecture) and many other renowned architects at various conferences. Following the development of several neighborhood projects and architectural objects, he is developing, with two partners, the "Le Corbusier Prize," an international architecture award intended to annually recognize the work of a "young architect" who has successfully integrated their building into the urban fabric or the surrounding countryside. Alongside his involvement in community organizations, he advises and develops projects for third parties, prioritizing sustainability, socio-economic impact, and social diversity as the starting point for all architectural projects.
