What I Learned After My First Year Owning a Greenhouse

After a a few years of owning and growing in my greenhouse, I’ve learned a lot. Some lessons the hard way, and some that completely changed how I grow. In this encore episode, I talk aboutmy biggest takeaways after the first year of owning a greenhouse: what really happens once the honeymoon phase is over. I’ll share the story of how I nearly poured my greenhouse pad in the wrong spot (before I even had my permit approved), the 10 months of zoning hurdles that nearly stopped the project altogether, and how I chose my greenhouse based on both function and aesthetics. I’ll also talk through the add-ons that made the biggest difference for me, like ceiling fans and extra windows, plus the electrical decisions I’m still grateful I made. Then we’ll dig into what it’s actually like to grow inside a greenhouse — the wild swings in temperature, the importance of airflow, and the science behind why your seedlings might suddenly stretch sky-high.
