British View on Japanese Army

So, what did the British think about the Japanese Army from before the Second World War started? This is of particular interest, since the British suffered a humiliating defeat by the Japanese Army in the Malayan Campaign (1941-1942), which lead to the fall of Singapore (1942). This video looks at major events that shaped British Views on the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA), namely the Shanghai Incident (1932) and the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945).
