Woman driver saves family from attempt hold-up
Central Police are investigating an attempted car theft which was captured on camera and uploaded on social media. The video sparked a wave of comments from social media users and created a debate on the increase number of car thefts in and around Port Moresby and the lack of police presence along highways. The video, captured on a dash board camera shows how the victim reversed up the Sogeri Road when she realized the criminals stopped their vehicle ahead of her. In an off camera interview with EMTV News, the victim explained that it was her motherly instincts that gave her the courage to do something she had never dreamed of doing. The incident occurred along the road leading to Sogeri in the Kairiku Hiri District, just meters away from the PNG Power Compound at Rouna Three.
