How Does A 1977 Porsche 911S Compare To A Modern Carrera?

This week I drove and reviewed a 1977 "G-series" 911S and compared it directly to the many modern 911's I've already reviewed on this channel (linked down below!) That's right, an air cooled Porsche!! I found this 911 to feel much like a time capsule, teleporting the driver back to a time without power steering or much sound deadening... where a rather pure connection between man and machine took place. I left wanting more, but I also wouldn't replace a modern Carrera with this car. Rather, I would add this beautiful 70's 911 to a stable of cars, where it could do what it's meant to do -- help me time travel. What's the icing on the vintage cake? This particular 911S has swapped out its usual 2.7L for a 3.0L straight out of a 79' Targa SC (Super Carrera)... what a time to be alive!
