Zonas de entrenamiento I Umbrales
In this episode of Let's Talk About Exercise Physiology, we begin a new series dedicated to training zones and physiological thresholds. We discuss what a threshold actually is, why the body doesn't function as a simple "switch" between aerobic and anaerobic exercise, and how concepts like VT1, VT2, aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold, and lactate came about. We also explore methods for estimating training zones, such as lactate and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). This episode is designed to help you understand that zones aren't rigid numbers, but rather physiological approximations that help us better interpret how the body responds to exercise.
