A grandfather of four was found dead with two stab wounds in the middle of a densely populated residential alley on Jalan Pragoto II, Simolawang, Simokerto, Surabaya, on Thursday morning (April 23, 2026). According to reports, the victim, identified as MJ (61), was a local resident. He was allegedly attacked and stabbed with a sharp weapon, possibly a knife, in the left chest and face. The incident allegedly occurred around 6:00 a.m. WIB. The victim's body, which was covered in wounds to his upper body, was evacuated to the morgue at the Police Medical Department of Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya. According to the victim's cousin, Iwan (34), the victim was allegedly assaulted and murdered by more than two people. The victim suffered stab wounds to the left chest and face.
