The Honduran Fire Department, through its head of operations, Major Sergio Madrid, reported on the damage recorded in the Central District following the recent rainfall that has marked the transition to the rainy season. Among the notable incidents was a landslide of rocks, earth, and trees at kilometer 5 of the road to El Pikachu and La Tigra, which caused power lines to fall and required the intervention of the National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) to secure the area. Additionally, a bridge in the Flor Número 1 neighborhood was closed as a precaution due to damage to its foundations caused by runoff.
