These Cogic Convocations Are A Mess!

The COGIC convocations have become an absolute mess, and in this video, we are taking a serious look at the confusion, disorder, questionable preaching, excessive fundraising, emotional manipulation, and outright theatrics that continue to come out of these gatherings. Original video:    • Welcome to the Official Night of the COGIC...   A convocation should be a time for believers to worship God, hear sound biblical preaching, receive encouragement, and grow in the faith. Instead, many of these services appear to be dominated by celebrity culture, personality-driven preaching, money lines, strange demonstrations, exaggerated claims, and moments that seem designed to go viral rather than glorify Christ. This is not an attack on every individual within the Church of God in Christ, nor is it a claim that every COGIC congregation or minister is corrupt. There are undoubtedly sincere believers and faithful pastors within the denomination. However, when public services repeatedly feature manipulation, disorder, unbiblical teaching, and unnecessary spectacle, those things deserve to be examined openly. Why are so many services centered around personalities rather than Scripture? Why does emotional excitement often replace clear biblical exposition? Why are people pressured to give specific amounts of money during already expensive conferences? Why are questionable statements and inappropriate behavior excused simply because the speaker has a title, a large platform, or a famous last name? The church should never be above correction. Titles such as bishop, superintendent, evangelist, prophet, pastor, or mother do not make anyone immune from biblical accountability. Every sermon, prophecy, offering appeal, and spiritual claim must be tested by the Word of God. In this video, we will examine what happened, why it is concerning, and what Scripture teaches about order, leadership, giving, preaching, and spiritual manipulation. The goal is not merely to laugh at embarrassing moments. The goal is to encourage discernment and call the church back to sound doctrine, humility, reverence, and genuine worship. The Bible says that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. It also commands believers to test everything and hold fast to what is good. When church gatherings become more focused on money, fame, entertainment, and denominational politics than Jesus Christ, something is seriously wrong. Watch the full video, examine the evidence for yourself, and share your thoughts respectfully in the comments. Do you believe these convocations reflect biblical worship and leadership, or have they become too focused on spectacle, personalities, and fundraising?
