Pita Bread ✔️Dough 3/4 cup lukewarm water (180ml) 1 tsp sugar (4g) 2 tsp instant dry yeast (6g) 1 tbsp cooking oil (15ml) 2 cups all purpose flour (270g) 1/2 tsp salt (3g) *Filling /Dips / Sauces (of your choice) -Lettuce, tomato, fresh & pickled cucumber, roasted chicken, garlic mayo & sriracha sauce. Procedure: 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the lukewarm water, sugar, yeast and oil. Stir until sugar dissolves. 2. Add the flour and salt. Mix until dough forms. 3. Knead dough until just smooth & well incorporated. (Do not overknead). 4. Place dough into a bowl, cover and proof for 1 hour or until doubled in size. 5. Once proofed, deflate the dough. Divide it into 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball. 6. Roll out / flatten each dough into a disc (7-inch round). 7. Cook the pita one at at time on a skillet or frypan (on stovetop) over medium heat. Flip each side until it toasts and puffs up. 8. Serve with any filling, dip or sauces of your choice.
