Gernot Bruckmann is the 2022/2023 Model Aircraft Ambassador. He is a multiple Austrian, European, and World Champion in various model aircraft classes. He primarily flies aerobatic models with turbines, propellers, or no propulsion at all. He lives the dream of flying and is one of the most well-known model aircraft pilots worldwide. We met Gernot for an interview at the Faszination Modellbau trade fair in Friedrichshafen in 2022. In the interview, the 30-year-old reveals how he got into model flying, what the hobby means to him, and how he sees the future of the sport.
