SATURDAY APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW CALABRIAN TRADITIONAL EASTER RECIPE .... BOCCONOTTI OR BUCCUNOTTI Well now we are at the gates of this Easter 2022, there are less than 20 days left and I continue with the proposals of this expected holiday Today I propose another typical dessert dedicated to Easter, a traditional dessert from Calabria but made in various Italian regions This is a dessert made with shortcrust pastry that varies the shape according to the region that makes it, with us the traditional one is oval or leafy and is made in special cups .... it is filled with jam or any other ingredient In this recipe I propose them stuffed in 2 different ways, with a classic forest fruit jam and with orange and dried fruit jam (dried figs, almonds and walnuts) Well let's see how to do it Good recipe I describe how to proceed: First of all we prepare the dough, which is a kind of shortcrust pastry, and add a pinch of salt, sugar and yeast to the flour ... mix and then add the butter, eggs and vermouth and then start kneading with the hands The final dough must be very compact and let it rest for 30 minutes After resting, we spread it on a pastry board or work surface up to a thickness of about 2mm .... then we cut pieces as large as the cups (it depends on the size you have or want) and put them in them to create the base of our bocconotti Make it adhere well and eliminate the excess (which will then be used for the covering) .... once all the cups have been made, roll out the excess dough Now let's put the filling for each cup, as I said I chose 2 different fillings ... one with orange jam with walnuts, almonds and dried figs and the other with wild berries jam For the filling, do as you wish Now we cut out the remaining dough and create the cover ... then close each cup tightly Done you just have to bake in a hot and static oven at 200 degrees for 35 minutes Remove from the oven and enjoy these wonderful Easter cakes Hope you like the video and the recipe, let me know in the comments Share and like Subscribe to the channel #bocconotti #buccunotti #Easter Here's what it takes Ingrediants: 500g flour 150g butter 150g sugar 60g vermouth 8gr sweet yeast 2 eggs pinch of salt Stuffed to taste I: forest fruit jam QB orange marmalade with walnuts, almonds and dried figs to taste
