Europe Day 2026: 50 Years of EU-Eastern Caribbean Partnership

A timeless European classic meets the rhythm and soul of the Caribbean. On the occasion of Europe Day 2026, the Delegation of the European Union to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States and the OECS, covering relations with the EU’s Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories, celebrated 50 years of partnership between the European Union and Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. To mark this milestone, the legendary Cavite Chorale performed a special Caribbean interpretation of Ode to Joy, reimagining the iconic piece through vibrant island rhythms, powerful vocals, and rich cultural expression.
