Within the practices with Boken, this is the only Kumitachi that receives a name. Throughout the exercise, practitioners remain connected to each other, as if they were tied, even though there is no obvious physical contact. It would be a union, a knot, through feeling, intention, life or energy, depending on how you understand or feel the meaning of Ki.
