At the center of the story is Count Herman II. Celski – a politician, strategist and statesman who understood that true power is not built only with weapons, but with alliances, marriages and patient politics. We learn about his family ties to European ruling houses, his key role in saving King Sigismund of Luxembourg in the Battle of Nikopol, and the political rise that brought the Celski to the very top of the Hungarian and Central European elite. The documentary also reveals the importance of the Slovenian Kingdom (Regnum Sclavoniae), where the Celski became de facto territorial magnates, and their expansion through Zagorje, Varaždin, Medmurje and the Ortenburg inheritance. A special place is also given to the story of Barbara Celska, who as Sigismund's wife became the Hungarian Queen, later the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire and finally the Queen of Bohemia - one of the most influential women of her time. The story of Herman II. Celski is not just the story of one man, but the key to understanding the rise of the Cele and their role in European history. It reveals how the Slovenes established themselves as an important political factor in the Middle Ages and how their lands became the site of decisive historical turning points. This is a story about how power is built – not just with the army, but with vision.
