Metro Train For Sunderland. A video of pictures about the arrival of the Sunderland Metro and its construction. Metro Trains and 158 Sprinter and Pacer Trains pass through Monkwearmouth Train Station/Museum. The Station served Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, from 1848 to its close in March 1967. The Station was opened as a Museum in 1973. The Museum had closed in 2017. Because the footbridge and platforms were in poor condition. However the station reopened and is now a Museum of Football Memorabilia.
