Elegant Play of Boxes in this Stone House in Spain 4K

Located in Valencia, Madrigal House was designed with the concept of a series of interconnected boxes separated by concrete slabs and enclosed by a stone façade. The stone façade contrasts with the predominant use of wood throughout the interior, from the doors to the ceiling finishes, creating a contrast in both materials and volumes. The materials used, such as wood, stone, and concrete, are showcased in their natural state. The arrangement of the boxes and light-filled courtyards between the slabs defines and connects the spaces, creating passageways and framing views of the surrounding garden. The boxes serve as containers for the more private rooms, featuring varying heights that add dynamism to the design. The swimming pool, with its broken rectangular shape, reflects the arrangement of the volumes. Madrigal House is a project that creates a unique microcosm. The combination of boxes, horizontal platforms, stone façade, and natural materials results in an immersive residence with a strong sense of horizontality and inviting spaces.
