1983: It's A Wrap After three days of stretching and stitching and working against the wind, Christo's "Surrounded Islands" were completely surrounded. For the volunteers it was party time; the rest of South Florida -- and the world -- had two weeks to admire Christo's vision realized. This clip includes two stories from WTVJ reporter Michael Putney. Featured: Young art students sketch Christo's artwork and voice their opinions of it; art critics and a state legislator react; an on-screen map shows where to best view the islands; and Christo speaks!
