Veteran Black Power president laid to rest
Abe Wharewaka, a former Black Power president, was farewelled today at Whaiora Marae today. Whānau, fellow gang members, and even a few former foes gathered to pay tribute to a man who was flawed but also worked hard to improve the lives of many.
