Quiet Rooftop Skies | Slow Living Alone, Poetry & Painting

A quiet evening alone in the desert | slow living, poetry, painting & stretching Please turn on subtitles and choose your preferred language. In this week’s slow living video, I spend another quiet, cosy evening alone, beginning with a poem I wrote, Wishes Made Upon You. We then wake to soft desert city skies, before continuing with a painting project. The day closes with gentle stretching, easing the body into rest. A calm rhythm of creativity, solitude, and stillness, carried between evening and morning light. Poem – Wishes Made Upon You Walking through a field of tall grass, I brush past the dandelions and stare as I pass The dandelions are here all around with a glow, They explode into wishes On the wind with a blow. The wishes travel through the air like a bird, They float and tumble - the fairies they stir The wish twinkles as it catches soft morning light As the wind lifts it up and takes its golden flight I wonder what wishes were made as they fly, Small fairies that wander In the air, pass by Your legend worldwide, Like buttercups in a meadow Held under the chin To see if you glow yellow. How many wishes does one stem contain? Are they endless, boundless In the main summer frame? Do your wishes work freely On adults also? Or childlike fantasy — This, I must know. That childlike joy, The wistful dreams, All came from a dandelion That floats in the breeze. A field filled with dreams And wishes to cast Through this brightly lit meadow With flowers en masse? Once a wish is granted And blown into the wind, Where does it fall — Where Does the journey begin? Does it fall in a meadow, Swept up into the breeze, Or does it land upon a pillow Of a child’s vivid dream? If i had the chance Upon the meadows so fair Id Make a necklace of flowers From dandelions growing there Id Stroll through the field, Pluck a wish with great care, And blow into the wind — Eyes closed, still aware. Filmed between evening stillness and soft morning light, with quiet moments of creativity and reflection. The poem in this video is written by myself. Copyright © All rights reserved.
