Dog Slaughter Falls was worth the hike | Solo Hike | Cumberland Falls State Park

Hike date: May 31, 2026 Day 2 of my camping adventure at Cumberland Falls State Park took me onto a section of the Sheltowee Trace Trail in search of the stunning Dog Slaughter Falls! This hike was definitely a moderate to difficult trek, with plenty of roots, rocks, and elevation changes to keep things interesting. But every step was worth it once I reached the falls. The rushing water, beautiful scenery, and peaceful atmosphere made this one of the highlights of the trip.
