Cows Lover Great Entrepreneurs March Forward to ISKCON Nilachal Vedic Village on Gopashtami-19

Indian top businessmen Sri Sajjan Jindal-Chairman of JSW Group, Sri Balkrishan Goenka-Chairman of Welspun Group and Sri Ashok Goel-Chairman of Essel Group visited the Nilachal Vedic Village, an Initiative ISKCON Juhu, Mumbai. Trio landed in Talasari by Helicopter in early morning 8.30am on November 4, 2019 by their private helicopter. HG Devakinandan Das-Zonal secretary had invited them to celebrate GOPASTAMI at this ISKCON Farm, which has more than 350 cows out of them more than 100 cows were rescued and moved to Slaughter House to Shelter House project. They had been warm welcomed by offering garland and reciting Swasti-vachan at Sri Sri Jagannath Baldev Subhadra temple at Nilachal Vedic Village. They took the Darshan of Sri Sri Jagannath Baldev Subhadra followed by visiting the different areas of farm. On the occasion of Gopastami they worshiped the mother cows and fed them banana, grass and jaggery. Gopastami is the day when Supreme Lord Krishna started herding cows. On this auspicious occasion they gave short talk by glorifying the importance of mother cows. Sajjan Jindal -Chairman of JSW Group glorified mother cow as "Hare Krishna…Today is very special day-Gopastami. Today Lord Krishna started serving the cows and we worshiped cows at this place. After coming at this beautiful place I am feeling that I have comeback to real Village. I am thankful to ISKCON for reviving this village and our culture in city. I always tell my children about the importance of the cows. Cows are alway there in our house and I have spent lots of time with cows. and I am thankful to devotees of ISKCON that they called me and shown me this wonderful place Today. The way we celebrate Janmastami we will make Gopastami as a big festival so that future generation will understands the importance of the cows. Mother cow is very important for us. There are 33 crore demigod and demigoddess stays in cows. After our mother another mother is mother cows. As I was thinking we want to make village exemplifying our culture. After few years this beautiful place will be talk of the town." Ashok Goel, Chairman, Essel World shares his experience with cows: "We drink the milk of our mother for two three years but we drink the milk of mother cows for whole life.
