This is just like this woman who tried many different careers, but ultimately settled on farming, a career she loves most because it provides for her family. Ms. Nanom Fupanya, or Poy, is 41 years old and from Lamphun Province. She currently works as a longan farmer. Before picking up a hoe or shovel, Poy had a diverse career path. Initially, Poy didn't intend to become a farmer. Her first job after graduation was as a journalist. She later worked as a teacher and even worked as a beauty blogger, creating beauty content for a while. She's a woman who experiments with many things at the right pace. But then... a crucial turning point occurred when Poy's father passed away. That led Poy to decide to return home to continue the family longan orchard, which had been a "treasure" passed down through generations. Initially, Poy had no agricultural expertise. The yields were poor. So I tried to research on my own, studying soil, water, and fertilizer, experimenting and making mistakes myself. Eventually, my yield improved, income began to flow in, and most importantly, I began to "love" what I was doing more and more every day. Besides being a farmer, I've also used my online experience as a blogger to develop a TikTok channel and a TikTok Shop. I'm using my orchard produce to create processed products such as longan powder and dried longan, and in the future, I'll be developing a unique longan chili paste recipe. Today, I use both TikTok and Facebook to sell products and share the authentic stories of farm life. It's not just about selling things, but about sharing my inspiring life and the joy of being at home...with my beloved orchard. In the future, I have big dreams: I want to expand my community enterprise group. I want to take the good things from Doi Chae village further than ever before, and I just need a little capital to push this dream forward.
